Previous Search

The Previous Search button displays a screen that allows you to re-run or edit any previous searches you have performed in your current session. To access the Previous Search screen, you must first complete at least one search after which Previous Search button will display on the tool bar at the top of the screen.
The Previous Search screen lists the number of items found for each search (# Hits), the Search Type (Keyword, Title, Author, etc.) chosen, and exactly what you entered as your search term(s).
To re-run or edit a search done previously:
1. Click the Previous Search button on the tool bar at the top of the screen.
2. Click on a particular search's Search Type or Search For to re-execute the search.
3. Click the number in the Edit column to edit the search.
The Previous Search tab does not retain information about search Limits. If you re-run or edit a search, any current limits in effect will be used instead of limits you had specified previously for earlier searches.
TIP: Please note that the search history (log of your previous searches) is maintained only for a single search session. That means you must use the browser's BACK button to return to your search session after viewing this or other help screens. Using the links for "New Exact Search" or "New Keyword Search" will erase the search history and begin a new search session.
